This youth center hadn’t updated their logo since the 90s’ so I decided to update it for them. I attempted to appeal to the many teenagers with attitude that frequent the youth center.

Juicy Pils is the brainchild of the mad scientists over at Cinder Block Brewing Company. A light crushable pilsner that chases the haze of an IPA. With such a stand out beer, they wanted a stand out design that called back to the city they call their home.

The design was inspired by the beautiful art deco that is deeply ingrained into Kansas City’s architecture. Each iteration of the beer will be host a different landmark around the bottom of the can. The typography pays homage to the KC fountain logo with equidistant lines that intertwine and branch out.

This was an unused design for a festival I revamped into a little Flaming Lips reference. Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots.

You would be hard pressed to find a collaboration more dear to me than comic-books, movies, and beer. The Gauntlet was a collaboration beer produced by Martin City Brewing Company and Screenland Armour. The beer released with the premier of Avengers: Infinity War.

I designed the tap handle decal, poster, and glassware. I matched the style and theme to the original run of the comic back in 91. The glassware proudly sold out in the first day of screening the movie.

These are a small mixture of logos I have designed for personal projects and freelance clients.

The 2021 DUNE movie was a visual feast but the costume design for Reverend Mother Gaius Helen Mohiam absolutely terrified me. I thought of the barely legible black metal typography and the Death Metal Dune design was born. This was my first trial run illustrating with an iPad and pencil in Procreate, I am quite pleased with the result.

Rated R is a small batch Imperial Stout sold in bombers. With this design I wanted to flip what people would typically associate with R rated films and go for something more opulent. Pulling red and gold from the velvet and trim that are synonymous with old theatres.

The Dallas Chocolate Festival is a yearly festival that promotes local chocolate artisans. I was responsible for designing everything from booklets to website headers.

This was an enormous undertaking that challenged me to design in non-favorable conditions. In the end I came out stronger and the clients were extremely happy with my ability to design with such tight turnarounds.

Kuhb is a friend of mine and a Twitch Streamer who asked me to design and animate some assets. The idea behind the logo was to make a character that we could alter to reflect the Valorant character he currently mained.

Did you know the first Pokemon event to ever take place happened right in Topeka KS? I designed this postcard after the destination wall murals you find celebrating everything a city has to offer. If you know someone who attended this fateful day back in the 90s, I would love to meet them.

Still one of the coolest opportunities I have had to date. Martin City and Tapcade let me have free reign over the design of a mural as long as it was themed around video games. If you cant tell what game this was inspired by, then I am not sure we can ever truly be friends. The retro Nintendo cartridge design was a fun way to frame up the art and advertise the beer. So, many, mashups.

Is there a gift better than a picture of your dog as Chewbacca? No, the answer is no.

Colors of the Land is a Prog Metal project by my friend Daniel Bohn. He described the album as a dangerous and beautiful journey. I thought photorealistic surrealism would be a great means at depicting that. Listening to the album as I worked on the art was a blast. A match made in heaven. This was a last minute crossover movie poster I made to sell at my Planet Comicon booth because my sister said I was only selling scary things. Well, thanks Bailey, you forced my hand an I made something cute.

Pawn & Pint is a local tabletop game bar in Kansas City. I had the opportunity to design the entryway windows to their business.

My mind immediately jumped to stained glass as a theme and I could not be happier with the result.

Throwing parties gives me excuses to design flyers, this is one of my all time favorites. I based the HALOween LAN party poster after the classic Haloween movie poster. Something about Master Chief being a slasher villain really works for me.

We all have a Short King in our lives, but I dare you to think of a better Short King than Krillin. This is an illustration I made to celebrate the OG, there are tons of Easter Eggs in this photo for fans of the series.

This is an 11x17 I designed for Tapcade and Up Down, local arcade/bar/theater. The design pays homage to various classic arcade cabinets like Donkey Kong. I designed the spaces to be easily interchangeable for each brewery.

I designed this poster to celebrate my favorite Gundam series, Mobile Fighter G Gundam. The mech arm depicted in the poster belongs to Shining Gundam of Japan.

This is Domon Kasshu’s signature move, Shining Finger.

I created this poster to pay tribute to Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs. The man plays football like he is in a video game so it only made sense to call him the Master Chief.

There are lots of easter eggs hidden in this poster, hopefully it will entertain your eyes for a few minutes.

The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks wanted to re-brand their ad campaign to help eliminate some peoples predisposed notions about donating blood. Most people find donating blood scary and fail to understand the impact their donation has in its community.

With this design I focused on a clean design, with the typography mimicking the text seen on blood bags. This helped to associate it with a hospital while avoiding any obvious cliches.

When donors would donate they would be given the option to be photographed and entered into a system. That system would connect them to the people in the community with compatible blood types. Making the experience more human by allowing donors to put a face to the people they are helping.

This was taken on a trip to Washington DC. So often the perspective of our lens is drawn to the centerpiece of a space. I thought it would be fun to turn the camera on the people within it.

Looking over the photo you start to make up little back stories for each of the people.
